THE ESCARPMENT

Located in Mount Royal, the residence is on the mountainside. The problems related to runoff water and surface rock required careful planning in order to solve the problems for the garden constructions and for the residence. Surface water was directed into gutters to bypass the pool and the main terrace. The plantations were stabilized in the slope with large stones in order to reduce the speed of the runoff water, but also so that the maximum amount of water penetrates the soil and that the plants benefit from it. The result is a splendid oasis in the heart of Outremont.
